Campaign Watch: Membership First’s Last Ditch Plan
September 12, 2008 by Editor.
As they head to an expected loss of seats if not full loss of control of the SAG National Board, Membership First has unveiled what it calls a plan for the future. Actually, it’s a recycling of an old and futile publicity stunt - a proposed referendum of dual cardholders, asking if they’d like all acting contracts to be under SAG, and an expansion of the faction’s war on AFTRA, explicitly saying for the first time that plans to attempt to take over the AFTRA Board.
The “plan” has been discussed in various comments to various posts here, but we thought we’d offer up one centralized location - and of course there’s always http://bbs.sagwatch.net where you can debate without moderation, instantly.

Nikki, Nikki, Nikki…Again!
September 12, 2008 by Editor.
Membership First’s wholly owned subsidiary is out with an astonishingly misleading post, calling a campaign mailer by her favorite faction an “unofficial SAG negotiations alert.”
Uh, no, Nikki. It’s a campaign mailer. From Membership First. Responded to by Unite for Strength.
For someone as old as she is, you’d think she’d understand how this stuff works. Then again, maybe she just doesn’t care.
