Negotiations Watch: Want Something Depressing?
September 22, 2008 by WW.
Take a read through Jonathan Handel’s analysis of the current state of SAG. He calls it “Calm Before the Storm.” More like the eye of the hurricane. One bit of news amidst the gloomy analysis. Handel says Unite for Strength has already held a conference call with the RBD members, in an effort to build a coalition to take over the majority in the national board room.Aside from that it’s all bad. His prediction is no TV-Theatrical deal until SAG backs down on new media, something politically toxic even if apparently necessary.
