Hollywood Reminder: If You Do Commercials!
October 26, 2008 by Editor.
Between noon and 2 PM tomorrow (Monday) in the Cagney, perhaps the most important meeting of the year for Hollywood based commercial talent, a joint SAG/AFTRA informational meeting on the Booz Allen Study done in preparation for the upcoming Commercials Contract negotiation. But far too few have attended the sessions so far, and if we’re going to have an informed and well prepared set of proposals for the talks with the JPC, this is the place to start. You’ll be way behind if you try to attend the W&WC sessions without learning this stuff. For a head start, take a look at Voiceguy’s analysis. Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. Part 5. Part 6. This is difficult material, we know, but it’s necessary if we’re going to do well in what promises to be a very tough round of negotiations. This is the last session before the W&WC process begins - so please attend if you can!
